The Japanese ambassador visited Soltanieh Dome
Kazu Toshi Aikawa said in this regard in the meeting that took place on Wednesday evening with the directors of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan province. Soltanieh has clean air, kind people and a beautiful city, and this universal work is very magnificent with special decorations.
The ambassador of Japan in Iran also continued to visit different parts of this complex, while talking with experts, he got acquainted with the history and richness of the cultural and historical works of Soltanieh.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan Province also said: The visit of the responsible officials of other countries to the tourist attractions of Zanjan province can create conditions for the region that will eventually lead to the arrival of more foreign tourists from different countries to this province.
Amir Arjamand noted: In this regard, we are ready to cooperate with Japan in the fields of tourism and export of special crafts of the province.
According to IRNA, the Soltanieh dome is a relic of the Ilkhanid period in Iran and is considered one of the country’s registered works in the world heritage list. This dome was built by Sultan Mohammad Khodabandeh in the 8th century, which is now considered the largest brick dome in the world. .
